R² tells us the fraction of the ups-and-downs in the scores that can be explained by study hours. 1.0 = perfect explanation. 0 = no better than guessing the average. Your mission: judge which model is truly better and why.
How this works
You will see pairs of models. Look at the graphs and the numbers. Choose which one has the higher (better) R² — or decide they are roughly equal. Sometimes the answer is not the one that “looks” nicer at first glance. Think!
